Tie Interceptor Squadrons...?[]

Shouldn't we have a paragraph or/and list of Known squadrons that used Tie Interceptors? Maybe do the same for all starfighters and there respective Squadrons? Unsigned comment by Bk777 (talk • contribs).

Squadrons Lists for Imperial Tie Interceptors and more.[]

Well I try adding a section that has a list of Imperial Tie Interceptor Squadrons. IT keeps being deleted. We need a list of Squadrons for all star fighters, including the Tie Interceptors. What we have now, page lists of different faction squadrons, is not adequate. The Imperial List is missing Imperial squadrons, and has two rebel squadrons in its list. By posting a list of all know squadrons in each fighters section, readers will get more information, and have the ability to immediately see, and look up squadrons associated with the fighters they fly. • It's unnecessary, and lists are to be avoided. That's why it keeps getting deleted. Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 18:25, June 15, 2010 (UTC)
  • If lists are to avoided why does Wookiepedia have that terrible excuse for an Imperial Tie Fighter squadron list? We do need the list, it adds more important information about the Interceptor/other fighters. There is no telling how many lost files there are on Imperial Interceptor squadrons, I was going to write one up and I found it, it wasn't in the Imperial Squadron list, like others.
  • I just noticed that B-Wings are allowed to have squadron listings so I'm putting the Interceptors Squadron, Wing, Group, listings back. It is important that all Star Wars fighters have there squadrons listed in there profile because it is also those squadrons that are apart of the info/history of the fighter. People that read about the fighters will appreciate seeing that they have the option to read about the squadrons especially if they didn't even know those squadrons exist.

I am getting[]

Sick and Tired of you people deleting my corrections. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJqWIjOow6Q Here is a movie showing how fast a Tie Interceptor moves!!!!! I am changing the speeds back!

  • Considering you have disregarded the 3-revert rule on the site, do not cite the source of information, and note, that your source is a game mechanic and not necessarily canonical fact, it is expected that an admin would fix your edits. -Zekk_Skywalk 00:41, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
  • Why even bother replying Zekk Skywalk LOL?!

I would like to make a point.[]

In the behind the seens section it is stated that, it is none canon in Star Wars Tie Fighter that tie Interceptors could have shields and not have reduced effects. I would like too point out that maynot be true becaue we do not know what type of shield generator the character was using...

The TIE Interceptor and the TIE Avenger use the same reactor, the Interceptor should have no energy performance problems if it uses the same model shield generator as the Avenger, hyperdrive and missile launchers as well. TI154thTI154th 01:48, October 14, 2010 (UTC)

Grand Moff Tranner, here is my prof.[]

It is listed that both the Interceptor have the Same reactor I-s3a solar ionization reactor. In starwars tie fighter Grand Admiral Zaarin had trouble finding a generator energy efficient enough to be mounted on the Avenger until his encounter/trade agreement with the Habeen. The Habeen make energy efficient Hyperdrives for that reactor 'I-s3a solar ionzation reactor'.

The Interceptors have been modified before as Stele indicates in the Stele Chronicles "not the game but the book it self" Battle for Honor, Stele said that when he was jumped by the two Wings of Avengers and his reinforcements arrived that "The TIE Interceptors better be modified in some way or they were not going to make it".

Avenger Squadron had heavily modified Interceptors and they were not hampered (X-Wing vs TIE Fighter balance of terror). Same goes for the Royal guard Interceptors...

To me the info jotted down that TIE Interceptors cant use missiles without being slowed down dramatically is fanon or fan speculation, right here in the stele chronicles page 91 paints a different story...

"The TIE Interceptor was powerful -- much better than the TIE fighter. I felt the acceleration and couldn't wait to go up against an X-wing one-on-one. It didn't hurt that the interceptor also carried 12 concussion missiles. And I didn't have to wait at all. The platform was under attack and I launched from the Fogger into a blinding hase of laser blasts."

Modified TIE/In Interceptor[]

The one that was piloted by Major Grode in the comics X-wing Rogue Squadron: The Rebel Opposition was of an entirely different design. The laser cannons on the wingtips are larger than the normal ones. There are presumably two extra laser cannons between the wing hubs. Here is the link to the images: http://www.theforce.net/swtc/tie.html#assault I looked through the web and saw no fanon creations so far. Most pictures could be found in this wikia as well. Open the pictures of [assault TIE], they should be canon.
