Talk:TX-65 X-wing starfighter
Back to page
Ackward
Edit
This was for two pilots: a primary pilot and a mentor pilot, who observed the trainee, taught him, and observed the progress of the starfighter to attempt to prevent any catastrophic accidents.
Why is this worded so ackwardly?
Why not say: The dual cockpit allows room for a student pilot and an instructor pilot (IP.) The instructor trains the new pilot in the avionics of the X-Wing and the idiocincrecies of flying a star fighter, while also ensuring the saftey of the student and other ships in the area.
Is there a specific quote that leads to the term "mentor pilot" as opposed to Instructor Pilot?
