Rotation Period Edit

Am I the only one who thinks that 46 standard days per roatation between day and night on an agricultural planet is impractical to say the least? That's roughly 30 days of sun, and 16 days of night. That seems like it would make it unbearably hot during the day cycle and terribly cold during the night.
