Spelling[]

In an interview with one of the bigshots on the show, her name is spelled T-A-L-Z-I-N.Gnost-Dural 17:12, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Ventress[]

The recording quality may have been bad, but I'm positive in one of the scene previews it was revealed she was Ventress' mother. Could that at the very lest be mentioned in a very brief section on the article, that Ventress called her mother? Or should we await Season 3 before we even mention her on here? --Mateo22 Seperatist leadershipContact 01:39, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

  • It was revealed during CV, that she's not Ventress' biological mother. She's rather... mother superior, or something like that. ShaakTi1138 07:23, September 29, 2010 (UTC)
  • I guess that Ventress, some time after she had left the Jedi, joined the Nightsisters under Talzin at least for a time and so calls her "mother". I assume that Talizin is Human, like every Dathomir witch. Ventress is stated to be a Rattataki (still...), so Talzin can't be her biological mother, unless Humans and Rattataki are able to interbreed. Let's wait till these episodes come out... --Chimealheltei 18:49, November 1, 2010 (UTC)

WTF?[]

The last sentence on the Biography section states that Mother Talzin sent Savage Opress in a quest to find Darth Maul who was supposedly hiding. WHAT? The guy's been dead for a decade. Is there any source saying that this brother is actually Maul? It just makes no sense. I just think that, like among the Nightsisters, all Nightbrothers call each other 'brother', what doesn't make Savage an actual blood brother to Maul or either Feral. Talzin more skilled with Force Lightning than Sidious and Star Killer?[]

  • The comment makes little since to me. Star Killer could use the Force Maelstrom force ability, Sidious could fly while using a Purple force lighting shield and make Purple Force lighting grenades with objects around him. How is Talzin more skilled with Force lighting than Sidious or Star Killer? I would say she is nearly as good as those two when it comes to mastery of force lightning. Someone should change the article.WAVE 21:29, March 11, 2012 (UTC)

A better change to this article would be to DELETE IT ALTOGETHER. Talzin's existence is yet another example of TCW completely screwing over existing canon, by totally delegitimizing the entire Dathomiri culture.

  • If it's canon, we document it. 1358 (Talk) 19:57, March 13, 2012 (UTC)
    • The point is, it shouldn't be canon and Wookieepedia should revise its canon policy to support the integrity of existing canon.

Talzin's eerie voice[]

I haven't watched TCW a lot, but I noticed Talzin has this booming, eerie voice with a distorted echo -- not only when she's on Dathomir, but all the time and everywhere (same echo when she is on Serenno). Is it explained within the cartoon? Is it some kind of voice-enhancing Force power? Is this because she is a "conduit of the Spirits" (per Book of Sith)? LelalMekha 19:01, April 22, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, I'm almost positive that it was explained in the Book of Sith. I've read a quote somewhere from the story in which she attributes her echoey voice (and the weird strips of floating fabric on her robes) to the power of the Winged Goddess.--The Shadow Emperor 22:12, May 4, 2012 (UTC)
    • I noticed it as well, a few days after I wrote on this talk page. I've included a mention of it in the "Personality" section.--LelalMekha 22:15, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

Species issue[]

I know the official encyclopedia lists her species as "Dathomirian", but there is at least one conflicting account. In Restraint, author James Luceno wrote thios interesting (and superb IMHO) description of Talzin—emphasis is mine: "Tainted descendants of an ostracized Jedi, the Nightsisters were nimble humans, though use of dark side powers had altered them physically as well as emotionally. Talzin’s silver eyes were rimmed with permanent bruises that extended upward from their outside corners onto a broad, hairless forehead, framing a shield-like medallion that dangled from a sharply peaked red hood. Her mouth, too, was bracketed by discolorations, as well as deep crevasses that ran from her nostrils to her boxy chin. The straight and swirling adornments that projected from her robes gave her the appearance of a winged insect, a red star, or a deadly flower." This seems to imply Talzin is not a hybrid, but a Human female deformed and corrupted by the dark side of the Force. Just like in them good ol'days, before the dark times... before The Clone Wars. --LelalMekha 00:31, June 1, 2012 (UTC)

Death[]

Now, I know we can't assume, but I was wondering if there is any confirmation that she died after her duel with Windu. The expression on her face, the pained scream, and the difference in appearance from her teleport (teleporting makes a more coherent stream of mist whereas this was more of a puff) all indicate she may have died. Probably something to do with her spell backfiring. Again, not putting it in. Just wondering if we have confirmation; a similar thing happened with Rumi Paramita's death.74.83.86.133 16:20, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

  • She has been referenced in promotional material for the upcoming Darth Maul—Son of Dathomir series, and the episode guide for "The Disappeared, Part II" states that "her story is not over yet," so it appears she will appear in Son of Dathomir in some shape or form. Whether she actually died in "The Disappeared" is open to interpretation until we see Son of Dathomir, so it wouldn't be appropriate to add anything in the article regarding her death until Son of Dathomir clarifies her status. It could have simply been that she was teleporting in "The Disappeared, Part II," as she did in "Massacre." CC7567 (talk) 13:50, March 14, 2014 (UTC)

Hair color?[]

The infobox states that she has red hair. Has it ever been confirmed if she even has any?The Shadow Emperor (talk) 01:50, May 2, 2014 (UTC)

Death...[]

Hasanybody read sons of dathomir?! Talzin is holding back Palpatine's force lightning and Maul's death watc forces urge him to retreat because dathomir has fallen. Maul tells Talzin that they need to go but if talzin stops the shield maul will die. so she forces maul away because all his forces will be lost without him. Talzin grows weak and stops the shiled while Maul watches in horror as General Grevious stabs her with two lightsabers and she withers away as Maul escapes. • That comic only applies to the NuCanon version of the character. This is the Legends version, so the article shouldn't include information from Son of Dathomir. Cade GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 22:41, October 3, 2014 (UTC)
