Talk:The Essential Guide to Planets and Moons

Back to page

Shouldn't the article be at Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Planets and Moons, rather than have it redirect here? --SparqMan 20:00, 20 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Does anyone know if there's going to be a New Essential Guide to Planets and Moons? Orange Lightsaber 20:05, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

  • It is inevitable but give it some time. -- Riffsyphon1024 23:06, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Yavin SystemEdit

The book (and pretty much every source I can find BESIDES this page) lists them as Yavin 4 and 8 respectively. There is no use of Roman Numerals for these particular planets. Emperor Roma I 02:45, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

  • With the exception of Da Soocha V (which was created early enough in EU history that it needn't match perfectly), they seem to consistently have planets listed as roman numerals (e.g. Rafa V being the fifth planet in the Rafa System, Barab I being the first planet in the Barab System, etc.) and moons tend to be listed as arabic numerals (e.g. Yavin 4, Yavin 8, Rhigar 1, Blimph 3, Storm 1-32, Aargonar 3, Bpfassh 3). There are some exceptions (Da Soocha V, Isen IV, Drexel II), and others that have a different system altogether (Imdaar Alpha), but in the end most moons that don't have their own name (like Endor or Dobido) use the planet's name followed by an arabic numeral, and most planets without their own name use the star's name followed by a roman numeral.
