Idle thought: does the use of the Imperial March in several IU situations (games, mostly) mean it also has some role IU? --SparqMan 05:58, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

  • I could consider it as synonymous as Hail to the Chief or the National Anthem, however the theme of a totalitarian government in this case, if that is what you are asking. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:00, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
  • The Empire Day was like 4th July in USA, I suppose? Did Palpatine make a speech each year, with the Imperial March preceding it?... :-P -- Klow 09:22, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Chopin ?? Edit

Chopin Piano Sonata No. 2??? isn't it based on "Mars, the Bringer of War" bay Gustav Holst?

  • I thought the theme for the Battle of Yavin was based on Mars, IMO... DAWUSS 03:30, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
    • It must be the other way around, since Holst wasn't even born when Chopin died...

Al-Queda?Edit

is it true that The Imperial March, scored by John Williams, was used by Al-Queda in one of their propaganda videos in an attempt to represent the U.S. government as an evil empire.?JediBob 21:24, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

That's probably something Al-Queda would do, but the talk page is for stuff about the article. Darth Oompa Loompa 23:06, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Well, if it can be verified by a reliable source, it's probably article-worthy. jSarek 23:22, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Use as elevator music in Republic CommandoEdit

Under the "Uses in-universe" section of this article, it is stated that an elevator music version of the Imperial March is played in an elevator in Republic Commando. While I don't dispute such a version exists ("musras_impmrchelevator_lp.ogg" and "musras_impmrchelevatorb_lp.ogg" in the game's \GameData\Music directory. I don't think I ever recall it ever being played anywhere in the actual game.--Muuuuuurgh 06:41, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

IU musicEdit

Shouldn't it be listed as in universe music too, due to its appearance in "Paradise Snare" and so on ? LelalMekha 14:31, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

Clone Wars Movie and TFUII Edit

The Imperial March is faintly played in the Clone Wars movie when Anakin threatens Jabba the Hut about Ahsoka's location, and is played full force in The Force Unleashed II game when Starkiller is fighting the stormtroopers and AT-ST's in the Salvation's hanger. 142.26.194.190 15:53, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

  • OK then, add it. Be sure it's the Imperial March first. I currently can't play TFU2 for technical reasons, but I can check The Clone Wars. MasterFredCommerce Guild.svg(Whatever) 15:55, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
    • It is the Imperial March that plays in The Force Unleashed II, at least in the Wii version. After Boba Fett escapes you learn to use Force Rage and you're attacked by several waves of stormtroopers, and after defeating them you have to shut the hanger doors on an Imperial shuttle. After the fire-droids emerge from the shuttle the Imperial March plays until you exit the hanger. I found a clip of the Clone Wars movie and the Imperial March plays in slow motion when Anakin says "Where's my Padawan?" 142.26.194.190 20:23, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
