I think that the information about Theed rejoicing after Palpatine's death should be put in a different category. Theed and Coruscant (the other celebration sequence) are still under Imperial control. You can't destroy an Empire as quickly as that (It also says this in EU).--Darth Mantus 18:25, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)

  • Actually, Insider 82 mentioned Naboo being liberated right after the Emperor's death. Both it and Kashyyyk are in the Mid Rim, and Kashyyyk broke free early on. Makes sense the Empire would fight hardest nearer to the Core and let smaller, far-off worlds go easily. VT-16 17:23, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
  • Edit: It seems the issue is a bit muddled. The article wrote:
With an Imperial presence on Naboo, the Gungans were marginalized and returned to the swamp. The elected Naboo government remained, but Queen Kylantha reported to Imperial superiors and was rumored to be loyal to the Emperor as well. As a coda to the saga, George Lucas added Naboo to the end of ROTJ on the DVD release of the SW Trilogy. Theed palace looked much the same as it did during Ep. I and the presence of cheering Gungans in the city streets suggests that the inhabitants of the planet were once again successful in liberating their world.
Since the N-1 fighters in the DVD scene simply pass overhead without firing at the tremendous crowd of celebrating people, I think it's safe to say the RSF had sided with the insurrectionists and helped them against the local Imperial forces. Of course, they could have been brutally struck down later on, but with Naboo being a distant Mid Rim world, the Empire would probably not send reinforcements. VT-16 17:59, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
    • True, they (reinforcements) were all at Endor. DAWUSS 01:13, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

shouldn't it be Theed IS not WAS the capital of Naboo??144.138.190.217 06:58, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Why does this article have the structure infobox? Isn't it a city? --Darth Tyler(talk) 17:39, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

  • As far as I'm aware, we don't have a "location" or "city" infobox; structure's the closest thing - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 17:49, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
    • I don't know how, but somebody needs to make one then. --Darth Tyler(talk) 17:55, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Theed in Episode I and VI: The Reflection?

There must be some mistake, but the city of Theed seen in Episode I looks like a mirror reflection of the same Theed in Episode VI. Haven't You noticed that? Compare the buildings around the Theed Palace, and You'll see.

Here are two pictures of Theed from both the Episodes:

Theed in 32 BBY. Theed in 4 ABY.

Now, look at the buildings on the left on the first pic, and at the same buildings on the right side of the street in the second pic. See the difference?

Also compare the waterfalls on the background.

  • Yup, it's a cost-saving measure. VT-16 17:43, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

I guess, You're right. But I want a reasonable explanation to this... And not like "During the Empire Theed was reconstrcuted, so that all buildings on the left moved to the right" Neterwan 19:39, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

  • There aren't any reasonable explanations. It's just a mistake. Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 19:43, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
  • But that is the only explanation available if you don't want to get into filmatic errors. In-universe, the street was reconstructed. VT-16 22:15, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
    • I personally flipped one of the pics and put it over the other one, and even the clouds are the same... --The Wolfe22 00:56, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
      • Yes... I'm glad, You've made such analysis. =) Btw this issue was discussed on Star Wars Forums by a user JediNick196, still there was no explanation given. Neterwan 19:03, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
