Talk:Thermal detonator
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
There are several other detonator pages. Why not make a Detonators page to describe the similarities among them all, such as legality and construction, and then have a list to the types of detonators? --Esplin 00:59, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)

[edit] First Appearance
I thought the first appearance of a thermal detonator was in Return of the Jedi when Leia held it up in Jabba's Palace. Where was it in A New Hope? White bishop 17:54, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think that it is in A New Hope but It says so on the page. HELP!!!
They are there in A New Hope, because the cylinder on the back of a stormtrooper's belt is actually a Thermal detonator. Jonbacca 00:18, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Needs a contentful quote
The "He's got a thermal detonator!" quote does not have any content in it, so I'm removing it. Please find a proper quote that says something if you want the page to have a quote. - TopAce (Talk) 16:24, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Games vs. other sources
Quote: "In the Dark Forces series of games, thermal detonators were used and potrayed as ordinary grenades, despite its extraordinary price of 3,000 credits and value in other canonical sources." I don't know how much 3,000 credits is, but what specific sources say that? Does the information appear in any major stories, or just guides and sourcebooks? Is it consistent with one type of TD being standard issue for stormtroopers by ANH? (Granted that most stormtroopers probably didn't see combat at that time, and the standard-issue one might have been for major demolitions rather than a first-resort weapon when attacked.) --68.44.13.236 18:19, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Picture
Is it possible to move the last picture up a bit as the appearances box overlaps it and it looks ugly.Lieutenant J.J 05:18, 22 October 2008 (UTC)Lieutenant J.J
[edit] Question
The article says that the thermal detonator can atomize anything not giving off heat. Since most lifeforms give off heat, how is this an effective grenade? —Unsigned comment by 71.254.109.70 (talk • contribs).
