• Because torture is a central part of the Star Wars universe (look at all the appearances and sources), because we shouldn't shy away from this issue, and because it can teach us something about our own planet as well. If you find it creepy, don't read it. Nightlily 18:23, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
• Its articals like this that put people into mental institutions for depression. If you are asking us to be depressed about our planet, then basically your torturing people yourself from the inside.

I'd like to see this as a featured article, but there's some simple issues in the article. One example is "Torture could be used for such purposes as obtaining from them or a third party information or a confession, as punishment for an act an individual had committed or was suspected of having committed, for intimidating or coercing individuals, or for discriminatory reasons of any kind." It feels like on long run on sentence, there's some missing punctuation, etc. I'd like to see this one go through, and I'd be happy to proof it, I just don't have much time for editing. Droids Edit

There is no real mention of Droids and the torture thereof, yet it was featured in one of the original films, something I find a little odd. How and why do droids feel pain? Why torture them? Can you torture information out of a droid? etc
