If the Jedi Praxeum used these, then why weren't they used during the duel between Tenel Ka and Jacen Solo? Sure it was a controlled fight, but there was still the chance of something going wrong, and it did. Surley for safety reasons they should have been using training sabers. Not familiar with that scene myself, but there was a similar one in Fury where the Jedi Council fight each other in a free-for-all with real sabers just for practice. --Andrew Nagy 19:01, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
