[edit] Merging

I may be wrong, but aren't the IFF code and the transponder code two different names for the same thing? They seem to just be called different things by how they are used, tactically. Wildyoda 20:07, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

  • They do appear closely related, but transponder codes are on all spacecraft, civilian or military. The IFF really seems more like a military-specific thing. Gonk 20:10, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
  • I could be wrong but I would think merging would be in order, to me the only reason a transponder code is registered as friend or foe because it is registered in your ships computer as one or the other. That is why it is important to know who is going to be in a battle on your side so you can register them as friends in your computer. I would suggest merging the two into transponder codes and have two sub-sections, transponder codes and IFF codes Darth SargeConverse with me! 22:32, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Appearances

Where are IFF codes in Battlefront 2? Just because it has ships doesn't mean there's any reference to/mention of IFF codes. I recall no such mention myself... Gonk 20:10, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
