[edit] Succession Box
Should he even have a succession box? He was part of a splinter faction, not the leadership of the Empire as a whole. jSarek 19:24, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- I don't know. He was offically named Palpatine's sucessor, but the reality was very different. —Unsigned comment by 67.171.180.209 (talk • contribs).
I'm surprised that either he or anything else from the so-called "Jedi Prince" series is even included amongst the other articles on this webpage. The series isn't just "non-cannon", it blatantly contradticts cannon Star Wars constantly. Personally, I cannot understand why Lucas ever allowed the author to write the books, as they are totally out of sinc with all other Star Wars literature. —Unsigned comment by Shep pb4y (talk • contribs).
- Unfortunately, what you've said isn't right. The entire series is completely canon, even though it wasn't very good. Yes it contradicted a lot of things, but there are many retcons sorting out those problems. And personally I rather like the true Kadann, and after the amount of work I just did on his article I'd hate it if it was taken down. -Jaymach Ral'Tir 04:58, 24 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- I'm going to assume that electoral politics apply here: My post of hating this series and character represents at least 100 billion people across the Galaxy (17 billion on Nar Shaddaa alone) who hate this story arc. Lonnyd 13:55, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wait a sec.
I've read this series. Isn't this non-canon? This guy had retrieved Vader's Glove from Mon Calamari and it supposedly gave him the ability to Force Choke. Never mind how it got there, how is that even possible? —Unsigned comment by 68.225.240.87 (talk • contribs).
- I don't believe it's non-canon. But Trioculus couldn't Force choke people because he wasn't Force-sensitive. But he did have implants that allowed him to "create" certain things similar to Force powers. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- It's semi-canon. Things and events in it can be regarded as canonical unless they're contradicted by other sources. However, authors like Daniel Wallace and Abel G. Pena have worked diligently lately to reconcile contradictions and make those things and events fit in the established canon more fluidly. As a result, a great deal of the information in those books has been referenced in more recent sources. jSarek 23:45, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- Implants to replicate Force Powers? Eh? I recall how the book went, I just don't see how it can even remotely be in Star Wars... Let's assume for a minute (incorrectly no doubt) that you CAN produce Force Powers with unspecified 'implants.' Still doesn't appear to account for how Vader's Glove ends up... on the bottom of the Mon Calamari ocean... Silly fluid canon. 68.228.89.148 08:34, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- The implants didn't actually create force powers. He had a lightning emitter implanted in one hand and in the other was implanted a gizmo that would send an intense sound signal or something at the target to simulate the effects of a Force-choke.

And as explained in the book, the glove probably got from Endor to Mon Calamari through a wormhole created when the Death Star exploded. Kaje 02:47, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, because that totally makes sense and isn't the most contrived thing I have EVER heard. Star Wars is turning into Marvel Comics, I swear... Jachra 03:22, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Um, dude? -- Darth Culator (Talk) 03:40, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- ...*sob* My beloved Star Wars, how far you have fallen... EU is like a big mess of steaming Fan Fiction. A WORMHOLE that just HAPPENS to suck it up and set it down in... Mon Calamari... 68.228.89.148 06:37, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

I cannot believe Lucasfilm approved this guy as being canon. It's really stupid that someone can replicate force powers, it would make Force powers usable for everybody! Then Jedi wouldn't have anything special at all!Anakinskysolo 01:01, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Anakinskysolo
[edit] Impostor?
Didn't he have a double, who was frozen in carbonite in one of the books?--Lord OblivionSith holocron

No, that was him frozen in carbonite. However, there was a duplicate of the carbonite block made.Kaje 02:58, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your kidding
I could have sworn that 6 book, paperback, for-kids load of steaming mynock poo-doo was so un-cannon that it makes my medi-chlorians hurt. I can accept Chewie being gone... but that the three eyed goofus from kessel was any more cannon than the star wars Christmas episode makes me cringe. why is one of the lamest moments in a galaxy far far away the featured article? —Unsigned comment by 71.111.94.194 (talk • contribs).
- A few things. 1. The spelling is canon, not "cannon". 2. It is canon, just as much as any other novel, from the Thrawn Trilogy to The Crystal Star. 3. Featured articles aren't just write-ups on what fanboys like. They're well-written articles about any aspect of the Star Wars universe. QuentinGeorge 09:38, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, as QuentinGeorge says, he's canon, and has been referenced in books such as The Essential Chronology, The New Essential Chronology, and The New Essential Guide to Characters; and in articles such as "The Emperor's Pawns," "Who's Who: Imperial Grand Admirals," and "Underworld Appendix: Swoops, Spice, and Wretched Rogues." He's featured article because somebody went to the trouble of making his article fit our Featured articles requirements, nominate him for Featured status, and get enough users and Inquisitorius members to recognize that the article met the necessary criteria and vote for it to become featured. Featured articles are based on the quality of the article, not on the quality of the topic it covers; see other past Featured Articles with silly topics such as Mount Sorrow and the Sun King. jSarek 09:54, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- Now what's this about my kidding? I don't think I have any kiddings. -- Ozzel 03:37, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] How?
Was he born with 3 eyes? Darth Whatever
- Do you mean how was he born with three eyes? or Was he born with three eyes? The answer to the former is:he was a mutant, the latter:yes, as far as I know
TheOne&OnlyAdmirableAckbar (It's A Trap!) 15:59, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- So he was born WITH 3 eyes. Darth Whatever
- I can't tell you for sure, but I think so. I've only read the books once, ages ago, so I could be wrong.

[edit] Force sensitive?
Was Trioculus Force-sensitive, or did he mimic Force powers through technological means?.--Gonzalo84 18:23, 18 December 2008 (UTC) Technological means. He had implants in his fingers so to fire electricity to pretend it's force lighting to show he was the son of Palpatine. Though as a consequence, every time he used it, it would inflict damage on him. --Vitas 07:32, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
