Is this actually canon?

I doubt this comic is canon, it should be listed as a non-canon article. The stormtroopers in this scene were all clones belonging to the 501st Legion. Besides Star Wars Tales aren't always canon anyway, this is no doubt another example of it. —Unsigned comment by 71.232.225.38 (talk • contribs).
- Hm... Maybe it'll be retconned again, or maybe it's semi-canon, somehow, because it's listed in the Ultimate Star Wars Graphic Novel Collection's contents list.. Hard to tell right now.. But I think that everything they put in USWGNC will be canon. --The Wolfe22 14:30, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- There are several reasons why this comic cannot be canon. For one, the whole 501st Legion thing, not to mention also that the 501st's article is a featured article, and it says that the comic is non-canon. For another there are several differences from the film, like the fact that this trooper in the comic is the first trooper who steps into the Tantive IV's doorway to fight the Rebel troopers while the one behind him dies, but the first one who steps through the doorway in the film dies, and the fact that in the film, this trooper was the one who spotted Leia, and shouted, "There's one set for stun," before he was shot, but in this comic his mind was not focusing on his assignment, and all he focused on was leaving the Empire after the mission, until he was suddenly shot by the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Why are none of these sufficient evidence that the comic itself is non-canon? Hanzo Hasashi 23:23, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

- Hopefully if the EU=non-canon thing is NOT an April Fools' joke, which I honestly believe it is, then this will indeed no longer be canon. But seriously, if this is an April Fool's joke, then this comic is still obviously non-canon, there is a Wizards card which has a photograph of all the stormtroopers who encountered Leia, including this comic's stormtrooper, and says that the group is a squad of clone troopers!
