Talk:Twilight (G9 Rigger freighter)
Back to page
oh dear, I messed up the infobox. Does anyone know how to fix that? And please don't just revert, as I added and corrected info. The new info is mostly from the novellization and the Visual Guide. The previous version of this page indicated this was a Republic starfighter model capable of dogfighting, but the novel makes it clear this is not the case. This is a civilian freighter model, and the individual ship actually belongs to a CIS spy (Anakin steals it). The book is very clear it is a slow, dilapidated, old (assumedly pre-CW) freighter model. The book also makes clear it is not intended as a starfighter and is not fit for dogfighting in terms of weaponry, acceleration, maneuverability. The only reason it even manages to last as long as it does is Anakin's piloting, and even so it is no match for the P-38s. Also, the previous version said it was shot down by Grievous in Soulless One. Source? The novel just has it shot down by IG-100s in P-38s. Soulless One is nowhere in the book, and even Grievous is just alluded to; no novel evidence of his involvement in the fight. Of course, the movie may show otherwise, let me know if there is some evidence of this from trailers, etc.17:32, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- I fixed it. At first, I couldn't tell what was wrong, but it was because a "]" was missing to complete the G9 Rigger link. Grand Moff Tranner

- Sorry I didn't manage to spot that on my own. Thx!JustinGann 18:34, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Size matters
Edit
Is it just me who's realized that the given size of the Twilight must be totally wrong? The width is said to be 16,97 meters right? And the length 34,1 meters? That means that it's little less than twice as long as wide. But look at the ship and tell me that you can see that that adds up. I can look until my eyes pop out of my head and the ship still seems to be pretty much as long as it is wide. No way in hell the length is 34,1 meters if the width is 16,97. Just look people. Something's just not right here...

Um, yeah...What IS with that? Is this one of those Obi-Wan moments? "Your eyes can deceive you. Don't trust them."?--Darth Frayd 23:38, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah about that, actually it is an eye trick, objects that are thinner actually looks wider if theres height comparison. It is an illusion, trickery of eye (like demonstrated by link. However, should the lenght and height be calculated by the unfolded (flight position) and by folded (landing position) measures, as the ship retracts lower fin to the side as it lands? --80.186.26.158 08:24, November 15, 2010 (UTC)
I think its switched around, counting the "fin" in with the width. The Great and Grand Count Mall! 00:10, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
Mission missing from done missions.
Edit
Twilight was also used to search for survivors from battle with Malevolence in season 1 episodes 3 and to make rescue of anadalia in 4. Somebody might want to include this detail to the wiki --80.186.26.158 08:21, November 15, 2010 (UTC)
Destruction?
Edit
In the series, the Twilight stationed aboard the Resolute Jedi Cruiser. During the Battle Of Sullust, the separatists destroyed the Resolute. I know it is only a speculation, but we hasn't see the Twilight since this battle happened. We should consider it or at least add a date about it's possible destruction.--Golden Heart Chris 21:25, February 9, 2012 (UTC)
- If we aren't shown that the Twilight was destroyed, it is speculation and fanon to assume that it was. CC7567 (talk) 04:53, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
