Where does his birthdate come from? He's got to be older than that, as he's quite an elder wookie even when Qui-Gon Jinn was a padawan. Observe. See? QuentinGeorge 05:47, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Well, we was well into his 200's by the time of his death, even though Wookiees can live up to 600 years. And plus, he is definitely older than Chewbacca. Tyvokka's probably 400+, I'd say. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 18:01, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)
does anyone have a canon source that states his birthday?AzureAngel 00:53, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
The timeline of galactic history article suggests that Tyvokka was born in 500 BBY. What sources suggest this? 124.180.135.99 06:37, August 21, 2012 (UTC)
Jack Nebulax, we seem to be arguing over the tiniest little details. Why do you keep moving that pic? Tell me and I will tell you why I do. --Master Starkeiller 21:37, 30 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Well, the way you have the picture, it shows up in the Appearances section and makes the article a lot longer. Currently, I have fixed it. Please tell me if this is any better. Admiral J. Nebulax 22:46, 30 Nov 2005 (UTC)
I changed it because it messed up with [edit]. But it's no big deal. --Master Starkeiller 14:45, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Well, it's better now, anyway. Admiral J. Nebulax 21:36, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)
dose this mean he uses form two as his chosen light saber form because he looks a bit two big for all that speed presision and foot work.? User:Kami-Sama
Not at all, a curved hilt was indeed designed for a Makashi user, but it had many advantages for other forms as well. Darth Bane used a curved lightsaber at one point and he was a practitioner of Djem So, not makashi, so a curved hilt does not necessarly mean they are a makashi user, just like not all makashi users have Curved-hilt lightsabers (eg. dooku used a regular lightsaber for a large portion of his Jedi career, and Shaak Ti was also a presumed master of makashi dispite her having a regular lightsaber.AzureAngel 00:52, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Why Lucas doesnt want any other Wookiee Jedi? MoffRebus 12:25, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
I'd also like to know the source. I noticed that a citation needed tag has been slapped on the Lowbacca article, which mentions this strange decision by Lucas Arts. Does anybody know a valid source? KEJ 12:49, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
I remember reading somewhere that wookiee jedi only come around about once a century, but I can't remember where. If I remember a ssource, I'll post it. If its true, that would already have been broken, since Tyvokka and Lowbacca where so close togethere it might have made up however dicided on it's mind that no more wookiee jedi should be made. There's no way of knowing for sure, though.JR 17:21, 9 November 2007 (UTC)StarNinja99
Well StarNinja it actually wouldent have been broken as Tyvokka is probablly 400+ years old. Ivel 18:31, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
It's explained [here]. Mauser 18:40, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Okay, so I know there are several quotes from him in Basic. The thing is, are those translations, or could he actually speak Basic? (I'm guessing he could, but I wanted to make sure.) --Crazy Jedi Girl 17:37, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
According to File:TyvokkaDeath.jpg, his latter quote is indeed translated into basic. Probably should fix that quote template. JorrelFraajic 17:39, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
So he spoke Shyriiwook like any Wookiee, but his quotes have been translated? Thanks, that was a fast response! :) --Crazy Jedi Girl 02:30, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
yes, its impossible for a wookiee to speak basicCheat 21:58, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm just wondering what the source is that Yoda was Tyvokka's Master? Or is Yoda under the master section in the infobox simply because he trained almost every Jedi during his time as Grand Master?--Markrox91 06:48, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
In the article it states that Tyvokka trained several apprentices, the last being Plo Koon. Is it worth it to also include that in the apprentices section? Seeming as it states that, I believe tha should be slotted in. 124.181.152.246 13:50, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
