It's very much Shakespearean - the wandering through the wilderness strongly recalls King Lear, and the prince reminds me of Macbeth. I'm not sure there's any more specific source than that - although some of the quoted lines are pretty awesome, I haven't seen them anywhere else and Google turns up nothing. --136.223.3.130 15:52, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
