[edit] Far-Outsiders

  • Is it cool to talk about the Far-Outsiders here? Or should it be under a spoiler warning. Cause it doesn't really spoil anything really. Its just nice to err on the side of caution. --Kosure 14:14, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mandolorians

  • Didn't it say in KOTOR 2 that Mandolorians came from the Unknown Region? 205.213.5.250 15:54, 17 Nov 2005 (UTC)
    • Mandalorians originally came from the planet Mandalore. The Mandalorians who fought in the Mandalorian Wars came from the Outer Rim, but were provoked into attacking the Republic by a mysterious force from the Unknown Regions, which is revealed to be the old Sith Empire. - Sikon [Talk] 18:10, 17 Nov 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Species

I disagree with Jack Nebulax about the Species list. There are a number of species that are known to be from the UR without any other information and here is a good place to put them for easy access. It's not like there is limited space or anything, so if someone can be bothered to go to the effort of putting them in, why not leave it there? Others may also find it interesting... Anyone else have an opinion? Eyrezer 21:43, 23 Nov 2005 (UTC)

  • How about this: No. If we were to do this with every other region of the Galaxy, it would be very hard to maintain, let alone all the planets, systems, and sectors. Also, your species list included many errors. Admiral J. Nebulax 22:02, 23 Nov 2005 (UTC)
    • Nebulax has a point. Its too much to keep track of, and once we start it here, it will end up on all the regions. A line must be drawn somewhere. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:35, 25 Nov 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Two things

First: it's pretty clear that there are significant hyperspace disruptions on the edge of the current Unknown regions, and that's why mapping progresses slowly. Second: The page should mention that the borders of the unknown regions change over time: the worlds of the Old Sith Empire are now square within the known galaxy.--Erl 02:16, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

  • I too agree that the boundaries change as more and more of the UR is mapped. This should be mentioned in some manner. Jedi Master Fiolli 14:37, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Behind the scenes

As much as I wish it weren't so, I think we need to be intellectually honest about the fact that the Unknown Regions are lumped off to one side of the disc. :( Or, if not that, at least that most fans consider it to be so. So the statement that 'a minority of fans' consider it to be part of the disc is not accurate, and looks to be wholesale lifted from Saxton's essay. Melda 20:55, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Phineas Nigel

I am pretty sure there is no planet in the Unknown Regions called Phineas Nigel. Smells like fanon. And for anyone that's read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, one of Sirius's ancestors was called Phineas Nigelus. Telos 21:48, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Yup, fanon. Thanks for pointing it out - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 21:54, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Quote source

The quote needs sourcing, and maybe that to who did Wedge told this?--Domlith 21:05, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

He said it to Airen Cracken, when he was trying to recruit him into a diplomatic mission to Adumar. 203.206.77.208 03:19, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mapping and Exploration

Perhaps mentioning Revan, the Exile and others who explored the UR would be beneficial to this page. Mention of these voyages are found on the individual pages of each person and on the Galactic Timeline. Referencing each one may be futile, but the most significant figures should be encouraged. Jedi Master Fiolli 14:37, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Quote again

This quote from Canderous better suits the Intergalactic Void I think, moreover, he refers clearly for that in his conversation with Revan (about that mysterious object which they could not destroy, but drifted away - into the void. The old quote from Wedge Antilles was better in my opinion, this one should be moved to the article about the Void. Domlith 15:36, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
