Ships of the Line
Edit
we should post ships of the line even if they don't link to the ship page it would make everything more offical information wise.Derekproxy 22:57, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
- Specifically why? There are 24 known cruisers, and the category already covers them. There's no reason to be redundant and relink them in the article. CC7567 (talk) 23:03, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. Venators 10:43, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Red towers??
Edit
What's the source for all flagships having two red towers? The only red towers I've seen are on The Resolute- and Kenobi's, Unduli's and Koon's flagships all have the usual towers! So where has this come from???? Anomaly Master 98 10:22, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
- The source is in the article. -- I need a name (Complain here) 12:32, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
Empire at War
Edit
Would Empire at War(Game) be under cannon or non-cannonCom. Cody212th 05:32, January 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Neither, since Venators don't appear in EaW outside of cut content. -- I need a name (Complain here) 11:46, January 16, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, they were in EaW: Forces of Corruption... --OuroborosCobra 16:38, January 17, 2010 (UTC)
shields?
Edit
do they have any shielding active, or are their shields just easy to deplete as in the clone wars episode venstars are destroyed by bombers. and in the battle of coruscant they seem to have no shielding at all? or is this because of a full week of battle?NMN 01:53, March 13, 2010 (UTC)
- Not the place to ask this question. CC7567 (talk) 04:28, March 13, 2010 (UTC)
Quote
Edit
I am not sure about the quote at the beginning of the page. I would prefer something that describes the Destroyer has a whole, perhaps something from the Labyrinth of Evil, it has been a while since I read the book, but I think that there is a good quote near the beginning during the Battle of Cato Neimodia.--Um2k9 This has happened before... 19:07, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
I Agree, the current quote doesn't seem to describe much about the Venator, and makes little sense out of context. Swordsquirrel 21:40, November 24, 2010 (UTC)
Quote unquote
Edit
The quote for this article is lacking. I feel that Barriss Offee's remark at the end of Jedi Healer is better suited. Who's with me? MillieMuddFan67 19:07, October 24, 2010 (UTC)
- What is the quote?--Um2k9 This has happened before... 19:09, October 24, 2010 (UTC)
- You can always put any quote in the characteristics section. JangFett (Talk) 19:11, October 24, 2010 (UTC)
- I still think the quote at the lead section is a load of crap. Who's really WITH me? MillieMuddFan67 15:41, December 17, 2010 (UTC)
- You can always put any quote in the characteristics section. JangFett (Talk) 19:11, October 24, 2010 (UTC)
Does anyone else agree with me?! MillieMuddFan67 19:34, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
- I concur, that quote needs to go. Zeta1127 of the 89th Legion (talk) 20:26, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
Bridge Schimetic
Edit
Is there a full bridge schemetic somewhere which could be put either here or on the Imperial class destroyer pages, we see many views and places on the bridge, but we don't know the layout with certain tactical and hologram pods, or do we? Skywalker here[Skyguy007] 11:08, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
Naming
Edit
In Latin Venator meant Hunter and also was used to describe a type of Gladiator. This name could mean that the vessel will hunt vessels such as the the Lucherhulk class or the Banking clan Frigate. This could also imply that this ship was a fighter. Both theories are supported by the fact that this vessel had a 1.0 hyperdrive and a massive amount of weaponry so it could have been designed to mean the type of gladiator as a Venator was someone who fought animals so basically an Animal Hunter-Warrior or in Star Wars terms "Starship Fighter". - Unfortunately, unless such a connection was explicitly confirmed by an official source, this would just be original research, which is not allowed in articles. nayayen★talk 00:31, March 13, 2012 (UTC)
