[edit] I'm no english major, but...
The following doesn't sit well with me:"He was known for both his vast courage and his even vaster competence," Might it be the use of the (non)word "vaster"?Master Ovnone 02:22, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- Dictionary.com says that "vaster" is the correct comparative of "vast". [1] Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers 02:27, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
With your permission, I believe this would flow better if it was worded as such: "He was known for both his vast courage and his even greater competence,". As I said, I'm no english major. Master Ovnone 02:32, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- Go ahead - you don't need my permission as I've never edited the article. I just saw the comment on recent changes and decided to look it up. I do think you're right in that "greater" sounds better than "vaster", though. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers 02:40, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you, and I'm just being polite in asking, that's all. Master Ovnone 02:43, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
