Canon?Edit

I am not even sure this is canon, only Voss I know is Annette Voss from the books. Geekmasterflash 00:56, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • It appears Hatheway just pasted random information from Corellia (that is, an older version of Corellia with random information he added.) — Silly Dan 01:10, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)
    • Doing some basic browsing, I found this on the theforce.net:

"Kiela, Harme a native of the planet Voss, this Imperial pilot led his squadron into hiding on Radix, shortly after the Battle of Endor. There, Kiela and his forces began ambushing New Republic convoys in order to steal food and supplies. When he learned that Air Marshall Von Asch was being held prisoner by the Republic, he hired former Captain Kine to infiltrate the Republic and liberate Von Asch. Kiela hoped the Air Marshall's skills would help the pirates become a formidabel force and begin to restore the Empire. However, Von Asch wanted nothing to do with Kiela's forcesm, labeling them bandits and mercenaries. Kiela's forces were eventually defeated by a ragtag group commanded by Lando Calrissian." http://www.theforce.net/swenc/entryclass.asp?search=K&type=&page=11

I dont know if we count this site as canon. Geekmasterflash 01:12, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • CUSWE (or SWENC) and most of Theforce.net is realiable and very careful with canon, but is not official itself. Anyways though some of us use it to confirm sources, we don't make aditions based on it's text, that would be abusing of CUSWE editor's work. By the way, don't waste your time considering Hatheway's aditions, I don't know why this user has not been banned yet --Thinortolan 01:21, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)
  • It gets brief mention in Gamer 6: Unusual Suspects. --Eyrezer 09:53, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

TOR Appearance Edit

Please note that the Sith invasion of Voss was not during the Great Galactic War, but after it. The planet itself wasn't even discovered by either side until after the Treaty of Coruscant. It says so explicitly in the HoloNet profile. The profile also says that the Republic and Sith were almost ready to restart the war for Voss's allegiance. The article has been updated to reflect this. Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith -Just shy, not antisocial: You can talk to me!- 16:15, April 9, 2010 (UTC)

Voss mystics Edit

Sounds like they have a native force tradition from the new BioWare site:
Primarily isolated on one tall peak and outnumbered by millions of their enemies, the non-Gormak natives use the same name for themselves as for their world: Voss. Locked in a losing war with an implacable enemy that sees them as a violation of the natural order, the hard-pressed Voss have survived centuries of Gormak assaults through the disciplined training of their Commandos, the placement and fortifications of their mountain city and the infallible guidance of the Voss Mystics.

The same Voss or not? Edit

"We’re thrilled to announce not only the next planet to be featured in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ but also a planet never-before-seen in the Star Wars™ mythos: Voss." That's from the news article. While it could be referring to actually SEEN, is it possible that the TOR Voss is separate from this one? Unsigned comment by 80.4.250.223 (talk • contribs).

  • It didn't say "all new", so I think we should assume they just meant "never seen" until they say otherwise. Remember, they used similar language for Tython. —fodigg BlackRebelStarbird.png (talk) | 18:51, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure that before coming up with a name for an entirely new planet, they'd probably check if a planet with that name doesn't exist already. Ausir(talk) 17:28, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
Jason Fry has confirmed that it's the same Voss on JCF. Thefourdotelipsis 05:24, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
