Talk:YVH 1
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
The designation of the droid is YVH 1, regardless of whether that stands for "Yuuzhan Vong Hunter One". --SparqMan 16:03, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- You're saying its not an acronym for it? -- Riffsyphon1024 16:06, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- That's not important. "B-wing" is an abbreviation for "blade-wing", but the military designation of the craft was the former, not the latter. --SparqMan 03:30, 28 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- And?.... So what, even in the military the use the unofficial name to describe an item! Plus, i don't know about you but i didn't know what YVH stood for because i haven't read the NJO books yet, So i would say it is important. Jasca Ducato 18:56, 25 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Is it just me or do these look like T-800s from the Terminator? More tributes? -- Riffsyphon1024 04:20, 31 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. I'm not sure if those are the real YVH 1 schematics. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:07, 31 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- It should do until we get a picture from the New Essential Guide to Droids. -- SFH 02:47, 1 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- I got those from the New Jedi Order Sourcebook razzy1319
- That's good to know, but it would be nice if you entered the source info in the description box after the copyright tag. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who does that consistently. Every time I post an image, I enter "(appropriate copyright tag), (description including relevant wikilinks), (SOURCE INFO including relevant wikilinks)" in the description box. It's not that hard. I'd love it if someone made that a rule. —Darth Culator (talk) 04:32, 1 Nov 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Photorecptor color?
Says red in the text, yellow in the picture... Thanos6 16:03, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- I've consistenly heard them discribed as red. Plus that seems scarier. -- SFH 16:09, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- Red seems to appear in more sources than yellow. Admiral J. Nebulax 21:31, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Terminator of the SW universe?
The design (and mentality) of the YVH 1 has more than slight shades of the T-800 from The Terminator series.
- Yes, it does seem like that. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 00:14, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, it probably helps when one considers that the Yuuzhan Vong looked like walking skeletons at times. -- SFH 00:19, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- So did the good old Terminators in the future. ;) Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 00:22, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- The only big difference I noticed between them was the Terminators' yellow eyes, but apparently (see above) even that's been changed to red. I mean, inspiration is one thing, but this is more like a blatant knock-off... --Thetoastman 14:02, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- It seems like the people working on The New Jedi Order Sourcebook were watching Terminator when they made that image... Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

[edit] possible mistake
It looks like the blaster cannon is on the left arm and it looks like there are two of them instead of one. The reason i think that is that it resembles a a B2 super battle droids arm mounted blaster cannons
- Please tell me if im right.216.26.208.204 11:24, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- It's probably just a dual blaster cannon. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)
