Talk:Zonama Sekot
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
Should we make a separate article for Sekot itself? -- SFH 21:19, 16 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Good idea =D *thumbs up* --

- Is that really needed? Why have a separate article on both parts of Zonama Sekot. Besides, how much information do we have on Sekot? Cmdr. J. Nebulax 22:16, 16 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Hmm, I hadn't really thought of how much info we have on Sekot. -- SFH 22:24, 16 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Plus, what good would there be to have an article on Zonama and then a separate one on Sekot? Cmdr. J. Nebulax 22:30, 16 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Perhaps the article itself could be split; Zonama for planetary data, Sekot for its personality and history - Kwenn 14:55, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Picture
Why the removal of the main pic? Cutch 04:13, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- It wasn't actually Zonama Sekot. -- SFH 04:56, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- Ya know, there is a planet on the front cover of Force Heretic I: Remnant that could or could not be Zonama Sekot. Kyriosperisauria 10:44, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- This article definitely needs a picture of Sekot. Darth Kellickq 15:22, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sekot
I don't know how much information has been released about Sekot, since I haven't read all the books in which she is featured, but I do feel that the article lacks more information about this side of the planet (how it appears to people, etc...) that is necessary. I'd fill it with info, but whatever I read I read a long time ago, and I know others probably have a fresher memory and such. So, maybe it's me, but I think this article could deal with expanding on Sekot. --Sauron18 00:30, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- As an outside viewer who's interested in Star Wars information but doesn't know an immense amount, this article is unclear to me. I wasn't even really aware of a difference between Zonama and Sekot until I read this discussion section. The article so arbitrarily mentions that each is a different part that I forgot by the end of the article. If possible, more information on the differences between each, and more information on Sekot would be helpful. And although there's a history section, it really just looks at the history of what had happened on the planet, rather than the history of the planet and it's sentience. An actual history would expand upon these aspects, rather than simply talking about occurrences.
[edit] Connection to the Force
The article states that Zonama Sekot is definitely a living planet, which is a fact that no one challenges... but I was under the impression that it's Force-sensitive as well, because it used something equivalent to Force lightning near the end of the NJO, and not to mention that its parent stripped the Vong from the Force. I'm curious, does anyone think that this fact should be present in the article? It seems to have the powers of a Jedi, but scaled up, like it has the powers a Jedi would have if they were the size of a planet. Exterwinator 18:57, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Location After The War
Does anyone know where Sekot moved Zonama to after the Vong moved onto it? I can't find it in the books, and I don't read the comics (mainly because I don't know where to buy them). Does anyone know? Joshuaingram 00:41, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Other Living Planets
I was just rereading certain sections of [[The Unifying Force]] and I noticed something interesting regarding Zonama Sekot and its parent. In page 497 of the hard-cover edition, I found the following:
- "Now I understand that the acts of the Far Outsiders may have been nothing more than a reawakening of the evil my parent experienced when its symbionts used its creations not merely to defend Yuuzhan'tar, but to launch an era of bloodshed that resulted in the death of countless worlds -- along with many latent planetary conciousnesses."
This clearly implies that Yuuzhan'tar (and its seed) were not unique, which is something that was probably assumed but not really documented. I also noticed that it isn't mentioned that apparently Sekot only awoke around the time when Vergere and the Yuuzhan Vong "Far Outsiders" first arrived, but I'm unsure if this is covered in any detail in Rogue Planet. There's a lot about Sekot I don't know about, since I've not read a few key books regarding it.
I just thought I should mention it, though I'm not sure exactly how to incorporate it into the article. --Sauron18 17:50, October 17, 2009 (UTC)
