Mental Disorders
Edit
Zuckuss was said to be schizophrenic and and exhibiting of multiple personality disorder when analyzed by at a penal colony on Coruscant. Someone with The Essential Guide to Alien Species and a knack for editing should add that, because I only have one of those. Linkman95 18:11, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Parts seem out of order
Edit
Some parts of this article seem out of order and inconsistent. The Bounty Hunters go after Solo for Jabba not long before RotJ in 4 ABY, but rescusing the Rebels and joining them is right after the Battle of hoth in 3 ABY. Can someone explain the timing here? Thanks. -Fnlayson 23:20, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Nevermind. Article is way better now. :) Good work folks! -Fnlayson 05:17, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Zuckuss refers to himself in First Person
Edit
Although there is no mention of Zuckuss having passed the Janwuine-Jika ceremony, he refers to himself in the first person, should this be mentioned somewhere in the article? —Unsigned comment by Jmlee337 (talk • contribs).
- Wasn't that simply due to him being arrogant and outcast from Gand society? —Unsigned comment by 68.145.128.30 (talk • contribs).
- No, read Gand culture. -Fnlayson 16:33, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Crimson Forever change
Edit
I've edited the article to take into account the sequence of events presented in the New Essential Guide to Characters, which states that Zuckuss was attempting to test his cover during his contract with Tagge. TalonCard 18:48, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Main pic?
Edit
Should we revert back to the ESB Pic? it's not a portrait but it's a film shot while this isn't - CorellianJedi
- I think the current pic is far superior. In the other one, the backlighting makes the images somewhat unclear. This pic is still clearly Z, is is much cleaner. --Eyrezer 04:45, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed. This is much better.Darth Ceratis 17:44, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Source-links getting out of hand
Edit
Dammit, even the sections are called "A profitable partnership[4]". The notes are getting ridiculous: there are 12 notes in the intro alone, making it seem over-annotated. Notes are good, but I think that this is a little overzealous. User:82 Airborne
- Can you be a little more specific? All of the notes in the intro are from different sources. Also, if you think they're getting out of hand, then take a look at this page. Cull Tremayne 01:33, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Some general comments about sourcing: While I like that we can now just add a reference to a section, I think I understand Airborne's first objection about the table of contents. I dislike that the reference appears there. It's not something I know how to fix, or even if it could be. With regard to sourcing intros, if they are deliberate intro paragraphs, I don't think they need to be sourced. The sourcing should occur in the main article, rather than in the condensed intro. However, we currently have to clear guidelines on this, so it's not a problem localised to Zuckuss as such. --Eyrezer 02:04, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
ESB game trivia
Edit
I'm confused about why the conflict of Zuckuss being on cloud city in ESB is even mentioned. Was there ever any debate about the SNES games being non-cannon? Jawajoey 00:06, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Comments about possible RotJ appearance:
Edit
Moved from the main article:
Zuckuss, or a nearly identical looking Gand appears in Return of the Jedi, following behind Han when he's led up the stairway to receive his sentence to be thrown into the Pit of Carkoon. BY SE DVD timing, this Gand appears at 28:30. (Comment originally posted by 24.18.252.211)
- I will look into this in the coming days and see if there is an appearance. I'm not certain, though. Master Aban Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 06:39, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- This character is Wooof. At least the matter was given testing, rather than being written off 134.39.61.223 21:24, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Zuckuss wasn't schizophrenic
Edit
This article constantly states that zuckuss suffered from schizophrenia "He was plagued with schizophrenia" but instead he has Multiple personality disorder and he shows no symptoms of schizoprhrenia. according to wikipedia :
"schizophrenia does not imply a "split mind" and it is not the same as dissociative identity disorder (previously known as multiple personality disorder or split personality), a condition with which it is often confused in public perception."
shouldn't this mistake be removed from this page? Hunter 4-LOM 17:09, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
- The diagnosis of schizophrenia was confirmed in multiple sources: The Essential Guide to Alien Species, The Official Star Wars Fact File 61, and in Scum and Villainy (sourcebook). It's not a mistake, Zuckuss is a dual-diagnosis. He has both schizophrenia (even though FF 61 also erroneously treated it as DID) and dissociative-identity disorder. And if you want further proof, here is the diagnosis, verbatim:
- "The Gand known as Zuckuss is clearly schizophrenic and exhibits multiple personality disorder."
- ―Gawynn Karastee
That should help clear up some confusion. Trak Nar Ramble on 14:25, July 23, 2010 (UTC)
