Tammar, originally known as Lelrais, was the Tammarian homeworld. This planet had an unusually thin atmosphere, which caused native Tammarians to evolve a chemical pouch called a chagizs torm to store oxygen. This allowed them to survive in the vacuum of space for short periods. Tammar also had no standing water.

Circa 25,130 BBY, Lelrais was absorbed into Xim's empire as he expanded his borders from the Kingdom of Cron.

Ayddar Nylykerka, chief researcher of the New Republic's Asset Tracking Office, was a native of Tammar.
