Tampson Consolidated, Incorporated or TamCo was a highly successful conglomerate based in the Tapani sector on the planet Javis. The company was not originally located in the Tapani sector but relocated after realizing that the relocation would reduce the cost of the raw materials used to create ferrocrete and transparisteel. Unfortunately, the move put the company in a spite of financial trouble and were forced to turn to the Tapani Noble Houses to keep themselves afloat. The powerful and wealthy House Mecetti agreed to provide the company with a loan to help Tampson Consolidated on the condition that the loan be paid back quickly.

To keep the company indebted to them, House Mecetti ensured that Tampson Consolidated would default on the payments. This action caused Tampson Consolidated to become completely controlled by the Tapani Noble House and entirely dependent upon them for further advances.
