Its indigenous species were wiped out by an Imperial Moff. It was the location of an Imperial Ubiqtorate center attacked by Garm Bel Iblis in 2 ABY.

Tangrene was attacked and conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong around 27 ABY as they swept through the Outer Rim.^[2]
