Tantive IV was the fourth planet in the Tantive system of Oplovis Sector.
The planet was home to the Tantive Gallery of Progressive Art, the sister project to Alderaan's Aldera Museum of Modern Expression. At some point during the Galactic Republic's decline, there was a cultural exchange of art and artist between the two worlds.
In honor of diplomats from Tantive IV who visited Alderaan, the Star of Alderaan was renamed Tantive IV.
The planet was later in the Imperial remnant territory ruled by Gaen Drommel.
