The Tapani Federation was the government of the Tapani sector. Established as a "democratic" alternative to the hereditary monarchy founded by Emperor Shey Tapani, the Tapani Federation was intended to be more "inclusive" of the other beings of the Sector. In practice, the Tapani Federation was a way for the other Noble Houses to finally have some say in the running of the Sector, and the Freeworlds were denied any meaningful role in the government.
The Tapani Federation was run by the Great Council. The day to day decisions were made by a Prime Minister chosen by the Great Council.
