Target blasters were small blaster pistols carried for unprofessional, minimal usage, and were popular among city dwellers such as politicians. It was common among captains of freighters or diplomatic vessels. Those who lived in the deeps of Coruscant usually carried a target blaster or something more powerful. Target blasters only emitted heavy stun bolts, and were incapable of killing.

A target blaster was Senator Bail Organa's weapon of choice during the Clone Wars.
