Tartuta was a male Dug bounty hunter who was hired by the newly formed Galactic Empire two weeks after the end of the Clone Wars to find Sagoro Autem, an Imperial naval captain that was slated for purging from the military. Under the instructions of the Sith Lord Darth Vader, Tartura, a Shistavanen named Severian, and a masked Human named Evan Hessler, were told to capture Autem dead or alive before the captain left the capital planet of Coruscant. After the three hunters were dispatched, Tartura secretly tracked Severian, believing that the Shistavanen would be able to hunt down the captain for the Dug. Tartuta was correct, and after Severian tracked Autem to a back ally in a tower, the Dug attacked both of them, weilding a pair of vibroblades with his feet. After cutting off Severian's left hand and tossing him off the side of the tower, Tartura assualted Autem, but was shot and killed by Hessler, who was actually Reymet Autem, Sagoro's son, in disguise.

In 19 BBY, two weeks after the end of the Clone Wars between the Separatists and the Republic, Tartura—a male Dug bounty hunter— was hired by the newly formed Galactic Empire to hunt down Sargoro Autem. Autem, a captain in the Imperial Navy, had been slated for purging from the Imperial Military, but had managed to escape before Stormtroopers could apprehend him.
