Task Force Copperleaf was one of five task forces of the New Republic Defense Fleet's Fifth Battle Group, and was Fifth Fleet's flag task force.

Commodore Mirx was Copperleaf's first commanding officer and led the unit through the Black Fleet Crisis, where it was paired with Task Force Gemstone.
