The Tauntaun Pup tent was a make of tent produced by the company Rim Excursion Inc. during the Galactic Civil War between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire. The tent was made of from flexible, light-weight, alumasilk weave which contained an integrated heat-insulating layer, allowing any being inside the tent to ignore temperatures as low as minus twenty degrees. Sturdy and easy to store, the tent was popular with mercenary soldiers and explorers,[1] and cost 
50.[2] The tent model shared its name with the Tauntaun species of the ice-planet Hoth.[3]

The Tauntaun Pup tent was first mentioned in Dangerous Covenants a sourcebook released by Fantasy Flight Games in 2014 for Star Wars: Edge of the Empire.
