A telescope was a device used to magnify images in much the same way as a pair of macrobinoculars. It was presumably a variant of the electrotelescope.

In 4 BBY Lando Calrissian longed for an optical telescope as opposed to the electronic magnifier onboard the Millennium Falcon that was not functioning due to the effects of the Flamewind. ^[1]

During his time on Tatooine, Luke Skywalker wished he owned a telescope rather than his macrobinoculars.

Above Belkadan were orbiting scopes used by the outpost of ExGal-4.
