- "The Hanoon needed to control their own world, and in order to do that, they needed to control the Terraform Processor."
- ―Wedge Antilles
The Terraform Processor in New Geddes was the structure which controlled all the processes of terraforming on the Galactic Empire-dominated asteroid Hanoon.
History[]
The Terraform Processor, the structure which controlled the terraforming process on the asteroid Hanoon, was originally built and controlled by the Galactic Empire.[1] However, in 6 ABY,[2] soon after Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa arrived on Hanoon to retrieve the shards of the Vor'Na'Tu, an ancient and powerful Jedi artifact, they decided they needed to free the colonists on Hanoon and so they captured the Processor with a New Republic army. The New Republic forces infiltrated the Imperial base which held the Processor and used R2-D5 labor droids to take control of it. After keeping the Processor from being recaptured, the Republic army destroyed the remainder of the Imperial base on Hanoon, including Moff Yittreas' Fortress, and freed the colonists on Hanoon from the Empire.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Terraform Processor was first mentioned in the strategy guide to the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. It appeared during a Princess Leia campaign mission, and the player must capture and defend it. The mission and thus the Processor was also included in the game's 2002 expansion pack, Clone Campaigns.
