- "We'll hide the Nebulon Ranger in the shadow of the Tetan moon."
- ―Cay Qel-Droma
A red-colored moon orbited the planet of Empress Teta that was located within the Deep Core region of the galaxy. During their mission to Empress Teta in the year 3,997 BBY, the Jedi Knights Cay Qel-Droma and Tott Doneeta hid their starship, the Nebulon Ranger, in the shadow of the moon. Later, Qel-Droma and Doneeta piloted the Nebulon Ranger away from the moon and down to Empress Teta's surface.

Description
Edit
A red-colored moon[2] was one of the three natural satellites that orbited the planet of Empress Teta. That world occupied the fourth orbital position in the Empress Teta system that was located within the Deep Core region of the galaxy, and lay on the hyperlanes called the Koros Trunk Line[1] and the Byss Run.[4]
History
Edit
During their mission to extract the Jedi Knight Ulic Qel-Droma from deep cover within the Krath cult on Empress Teta[2] in the year 3,997 BBY,[5] Qel-Droma's brother Cay and Tott Doneeta—both Jedi Knights, as well—hid their starship, the Nebulon Ranger, in the shadow of the moon, after the third Knight, Nomi Sunrider, had left the ship for the planet's surface on an escape pod. Later, Qel-Droma and Doneeta piloted the Nebulon Ranger out of its hiding place and down to Empress Teta's surface in order to pick up Sunrider and Qel-Droma's older brother Ulic.[2]
Behind the scenes
Edit
The Tetan moon made its first in-universe appearance in the fifth issue of Dark Lords of the Sith story arc of the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi series of comic books. The issue was published on February 14, 1995 and was written by Tom Veitch and Kevin J. Anderson and penciled by Christian Gossett. The moon was also mentioned in the Dark Lords of the Sith audio adaptation that was released on May 5, 2005. The Empress Teta system—and therefore the Tetan moon—was placed in grid square L-10 by The Essential Atlas—a reference book co-authored by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, and published on August 18, 2009.
