"Come see spectacular Teyr Rift. Then go home."
―Popular tourism motto[src]

Teyr was a bureaucratic and tourism planet located in the Surric system of the Colonies.

DescriptionEdit

"Everything's wrong. This isn't our kind of world. It's everything we're trying not to be. It's too crowded, too loud, too organized and artificial. If they were ever here, they won't have stayed very long."
Akanah, about Teyr and the Fallanassi[src]

Teyr was a bureaucratic world, 34 light years from Vulvarch. It was located near the juncture of three busy spaceways,[4] including the Shipwrights' Trace.[3]

It was a popular tourist destination, known for its majestic mountains and the breathtaking Teyr Rift. Thousands of cruise ships, yachts, and other tourist vessels arrived daily at overcrowded orbital facilities from which passengers were ferried down to the planet. The Rift Skyrail connected all Teyr's spaceports with all major population centers and resort destinations in the Rift Territory.[4]

It was also presumably the namesake of the ship, Teyr.[5] On Teyr was held the Mobquet Presents: Fastest Land Beings race.[6]

HistoryEdit

"What about Ganner?"
"He's from Teyr—he wouldn't know odds from groats. He's good in a fight, though, and smart when he thinks before acting. And handsome, too, as you've probably noticed."
―Jaina Solo and Corran Horn[src]
Teyr

The Battle of Teyr.

The planet was colonized by at least 496 BBY.

During the Clone Wars, it was the site of the Battle of Teyr in 22 BBY, which was led by the Jedi Master K'Kruhk.[7]

By 16 ABY, Teyr was one of the New Republic's boom worlds. Fearing unbridled growth, Teyr's leaders created the Citizen Services Corps and tried to discourage immigrants with a maze of regulations. During the Black Fleet Crisis, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and his companion Akanah traveled to the planet seeking traces of the Fallanassi.[4]

Ganner Rhysode, a member of the New Jedi Order, was from Teyr.[8]
