Thaffe was an Imperial drill instructor. He was once a suspect in a murder, but was acquitted. He became friends with the investigator, Spurch Goa, and after retiring from the military they became Sector Rangers. During that time he trained Dyyz Nataz in counter-terrorism procedures.

The three were captured and tortured by Gank Killers loyal to Jabba the Hutt. Thaffe sacrificed his life so his two friends could escape.
