The thakiz baw'kal, or the Downstorm, was the Korunnai term for heavy winds that would blow across the surface of their home planet, Haruun Kal, during its brief winter. As the valleys of the planet were blanketed in a cloudsea of heavy toxic gases, any unfortunates in lower areas of the Korunnal Highland could be killed by winds that blew these gases farther up.
