A thamassh was a Yuuzhan Vong creature. Its scent glands were used to emit vapor used in purification ceremonies, such as being admitted to see the Supreme Overlord.

It is unknown what became of the thamassh after the war ended; though it can be assumed they were transplanted to Zonama Sekot where they would have joined the tampasi.
