Thannor Keth was a "Sorceror of the Sith" alive during the time of the Galactic Republic who had two apprentices; siblings Xash and Sindra. He was an almost sickly thin man who appeared to be very frail and had a ragged cough. He generally cloaked his body in voluminous purple robes and elaborate jewelry, with a ring on each of his fingers which caused an insect-like clicking whenever he wrung his hands together.

He once went with his apprentices to the planet Vigil to capture the Force-sensitive female child Nova. When he arrived there he originally sent his apprentices to capture her but they were killed by former Jedi Lian Dray who was protecting Nova. Nova, frightened by Dray's use of the dark side, ran away from him and was promptly captured by Keth. Keth put her in a small cage of Sith design which was fitted with shimmering bars of energy that temporarily cut any occupants off from the Force entirely.
Dray soon came after Nova and found Keth attempting to repair his starship. Though Keth offered to overlook Dray's transgressions if he helped him fix his ship and left Nova with him, Dray was committed to rescuing Nova. To this end, Dray further damaged Keth's starship, causing it to erupt in a shower of sparks which caused Keth to rush to attempt to fix it. This gave Dray enough time to cleave the energy bars in half with his lightsaber and free Nova, proceeding to sprint off into the night.
Keth gave chase, firing purplish Force lightning at Dray's back causing him to tumble to the ground and lose his hold on Nova. The two briefly conversed, Keth once more offering to leave Dray alone if he handed over the girl, but Dray once again refused. Keth once more fired Force lightning at Dray; however, this time Dray was ready and caught the lightning on his lightsaber, redirecting it into a nearby arcosia tree and letting some of it discharge into the air.
Dray teased Keth, telling him that if that was the best he could do then he should simply leave now. In response, Keth gave a snarl and curled his right hand into a claw forming an iridescent sphere of energy through the Force. Keth flung this at Lian Dray with deadly accuracy. Though Dray attempted to block this too with his lightsaber, the bolt went straight through and hit his flesh, causing him to fall to the ground as he was wracked with both physical and mental pain.
Keth, thinking that the battle was over, chuckled softly as he gathered his powers for a deathblow. He gathered strands of dark power that began to permanently sever Dray's connection to the Force itself. It was at this moment, however, that Nova gave aid to Dray. Sharing her power with his, the two managed to create a shield of light side energies which protected Dray from Keth's attack. Not only did this shield save Dray's life, it also struck Keth with such force that it appeared as if he had been hit with a proton torpedo, throwing him back and destroying his body completely. The only remains of the Sith sorcerer were his tattered and scorched robes.
