Thaum Rystra was a Dark Jedi who lived during the Galactic Civil War.

Rystra was taken by the Galactic Empire as a child and trained to be a Dark Side Adept. However, they sent him to kill his parents and after he did so, he realized what a monster he had became and he abandoned them and joined the Rebel Alliance. He later became the apprentice of the spirit of the Sith Lord Valik Kodank and he also took the Whiphid Tol Skaros as his own apprentice.
