The Belt was an asteroid-riddled obstacle course for starfighter racing, built by Lando Calrissian near the world of Dubrillion. Racing the course was referred to as 'running the belt.' The course was dominated by Belt-Runner I, a space station built to oversee proceedings and to protect pilots using repulsor shielding.
