The Briefing of Red Group is a short story written by Michael Stern for Galaxy Guide 5: Return of the Jedi, First Edition. It was later reprinted in the book's second edition and The Movie Trilogy Sourcebook.

Plot summaryEdit

The story is told by Wedge Antilles to historian Voren Na'al. Antilles conducts a briefing with Red Group, a group of Rebel pilots including Wes Janson, Derek Klivian, and Randi. He briefs them on their upcoming mission to destroy the Death Star II in construction over Endor. Antilles informs the group about the reactor core vulnerability and the station's protection by an energy shield being emitted from Endor. Concerns come up, but Antilles ensures them that Luke Skywalker and Han Solo won't fail them in taking down the shield.
