The Civilized was the collective name of a group representing members of specific political, economical, and social classes that lived on the planet New Apsolon. In contrast with the Workers, who were a group representing the poorer inhabitants of the planet, the Civilized were the highest and wealthiest caste, living in houses constructed of stone mined from the outskirts of the capital city. The Civilized were staunch political opponents of the Workers.
