[edit] Plot summary

Tano: "I still think this is a dumb plan. The Separatists will never fall for it."
Skywalker: "Ahsoka, those stupid battle droids will fall for anything."
―Skywalker and Tano talking about the plan to get on Count Dooku's frigate[src]

Inside the Twilight, his personal freighter, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker is working on his Delta-7B light interceptor with the assistance from his astromech droid R2-D2. While altering the appearance of the starfighter, Skywalker notes to R2 that the fake damage must look as realistic as possible. Skywalker's Padawan Ahsoka Tano reports that the freighter is approaching the ice field on schedule. Tano also voices her opinion that the plan is far from perfect and the Separatists will not fall for it. Skywalker replies that the battle droids of the Separatist Droid Army will fall for anything. The fighter, that appears to be damaged, and a broken hyperspace ring are then released in the ice field.

On a Confederate Munificent-class star frigate, a B1 battle droid informs the captain of the ship that they have found the remains of a Jedi starfighter and are also picking up a life-sign. The battle droid captain then orders to bring it aboard and have a security detachment standing ready. In the hangar, battle droids order the Jedi to come out of the fighter, telling him they are aware of his presence inside the fighter due to the life-form scanning. Skywalker complies and comes out of the ship. The Jedi Knight attacks the droids with his lightsaber, destroying several of them, before a B2 super battle droid destroys his lightsaber with a blaster bolt. Skywalker surrenders and the droids inform him that they are the best of their series, because he is present aboard the Count Dooku's frigate. Meanwhile on the Twilight, it is revealed that Skywalker took a fraud lightsaber with him, as Kenobi picks up Skywalker's real lightsaber and orders Tano to take the freighter back to the fleet. Kenobi then puts on a spacesuit and prepares to leave the Twilight to join Skywalker.
