[edit] Plot

King Katuunko is contacted by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and they negotiate a meeting place for negotiations for Toydaria to join the Republic, Katuunko does not want to negotiate with a blaster at his throat or a ship-full of clones above his head so he asks Palpatine to send a Jedi. Palpatine argues that it would be risky to send an unarmed Jedi to a world as close to the enemy as Toydaria and Katuunko arranges to meet on Rugosa, meanwhile Po Nudo informs Count Dooku that Skytop Station is now active. On Coruscant, Jek complains that they have to stay back and escort senators meanwhile their brothers get to fight on the front lines, then lieutenant Thire comes and informs them that they've been assigned to a Jedi.

[edit] Appearances

[edit] Behind the scenes

Ambush was not supposed to be aired as the first episode until very close to series premiere, so when it was moved, the artist Tom Hodges, who was scheduled to do the accompanying webcomic was already working on The Clone Wars: Shakedown as well. Although it involved significant stress, he managed to complete both comics just in time for the premiere.[1]

The webcomic is the first canon appearance of a member of the Republic Service Organization, that was inspired by the real-world Imperial Service Organization, a social network of volunteers who pledge to support charity organizations such as the 501st Legion in their endeavors.
