The Drift, also known as Kuras Drift, was a stellar dust cloud that separated the Kuras system from most of the other star systems in the Elrood Sector. All four planets in the Kuras system were located within the Drift itself.

The sheer size of the Drift made travel to and from the Kuras system extremely difficult.

The Airam clan leader Tamaron maintained an Asteroid Hangar base named Attila within the Kuras Drift. During the rebel campaign into the Airam sector (which was near the Elrood sector, and therefore near the Kuras Drift) the Rebel Alliance received a shipment of supplies at this base, but came under attack from Airam rivals and Imperial Task Force Vengeance during the transfer. Although Attila base came under heavy warhead attack in this battle it was not destroyed.
