The Frozen World of Ota was the last comic strip written by Russ Manning. When poor health forced Manning to abandon the strip, his assistant, Rick Hoberg, and inker, Alfredo Alcala, completed the story.
Though Boba Fett was a bit out of character in the story, his appearance here, along with his cartoon appearance in 1978's The Star Wars Holiday Special, did much to increase fan interest during the period between the release of Episodes IV and V, and by the time Boba Fett finally appeared on the bridge of Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer, many fans were already familiar with the now-iconic bounty hunter.

[edit] Plot
Luke Skywalker encounters Boba Fett, but the pair are captured by Ota's indigenous Snogars. After they have already managed to free themselves, Han Solo still comes to Luke's rescue. To their amazement, Han and Luke discover that Han isn't Fett's target--at least not on this trip. Nevertheless, the fact of Fett's and Solo's shared history was made very apparent.
