The Godsheart was a pulsar-type star[2] that was located within the galaxy's Hutt Space region.[1] The pulsar was considered sacred by members of the sentient Hutt species, and at some point they made divinations that were based on the star's changing flashes.[2] The territory surrounding The Godsheart had come under the control of the Hutts as early as the year 22,000 BBY[3] and was considered well-explored by 8,000 BBY.[4]

The Godsheart was first mentioned in The Essential Atlas—a reference book co-authored by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, and published on August 18, 2009—which placed the star in grid square T-11.
