[edit] Behind the scenes

Death on Naboo reveals the forename of a character originally seen in the prequel trilogy, Gregar Typho (formerly only known as Captain Typho). It is also a possibility that the maiden name of Jobal Thule Naberrie (Padmé Amidala's mother) is revealed, as her mother, Ryoo Thule is featured in the book.

At the beginning of the scene where Ferus begins his climactic duel with Malorum, Ferus realizes that he is in the Theed Generator Complex, after recalling the stories he was told as a Padawan, of Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon's duel with Darth Maul. Ferus thinks to himself, "It was here. This is where Obi-Wan fought Darth Maul to the death". This seems to be an error in continuity as no Jedi, including Obi-Wan, knew of Darth Maul's name: he was known only as a mysterious Sith Lord. However, since Death on Naboo is set 13 years after the Duel on Naboo, it is possible that the Jedi have, in the intervening period, learnt of Maul's identity.
